Viper's Pass Dash - Meet at Picasso, Haarlemmersstraat (near the bridge over Singel Canal) from 11:00am. We will leave for the Power Zone at 11:45am sharp. Our only aim is to pick up our Judge Pass's and get back into town as fast as possible and pick up some samples. We will stay long enough for a drink and a smoke if the bar is open.

EDIT meet from 4:00pm at De Kuil, Oudebrugsteeg, off Damrak. The Captain will be inviting EDIT folken to his secret dinning table for pre-HTCC events dinner like mother makes.

Grass-A-Matazz - 11.00am - 11,00pm, free admission, at the Sugar Factory, opposite the Melkweg, Liedseplien. Live music, live radio broadcasts featuring John Sinclair.

Captain Cups Expo Tour; Meet at Picasso, Haarlemmersstraat (near the bridge over Singel Canal) from 10:00am. We will leave for the Expo at 12:00pm sharp.

Please note, the High Times Expo is a very long way out of the town centre. You should get yourself a Tram Card Strip as back up (you can buy one comming in from the airport with your ticket to Central Station). We will be using the Metro system to get to the Expo and you will need to pay for your own travel ticket.

We will need to walk from the Metro Station itself to the actual Expo site and we will be leaving the Expo to get back into town aprox 3:30pm. There are no Coffee Shops in the surrounding area of the Expo.

EDIT Meet & Party- from 4:00pm at Kadinsky, Zoutsteeg, off Damrak, Dam Sq end, with MC Bushmaster and the Back Room Boys, with guest Gerrit of Magus Genetics and his bag of five samples. An afternoon and evening gathering of EDIT folken from across the globe. Anything could happen, and in Amsterdam, it probably will.

First Timer Tips

1. Hash and marijuana are not legal in Amsterdam. They are tolerated. Coffee Shops are not allowed to sell you more than 5g per visit.

2. Smoking in the street is frowned upon by the majority. It can get you a telling off from police - that's what coffee shops are for. Smoking along the Damrak, Dam Square area, Damstraat and the Red Light district will give dealers and hustlers all the excuse they need to approach you. On quiter streets you may use your own best judgement.

3. You may purchase your hash or marijuana from the menu of any designated Coffee Shop.

4. You may smoke your weed/hash in any Coffee Shop so long as you at least buy a drink.

5. If in groups, not evreryone has to buy something, although it is polite to do so.

6. You are under no obligation to buy smoke when visiting different shops.

7. Some shops give away free stickers, roach tips and rolling papers with smoke purchases. Others have them on the counter or tables. Taking more than 3 of any item is considered taking the piss. Be ready for a sharp turn of attitude if someone in your group starts stuffing their pockets.

8. Coffee shop brand logo's emblazoned on lighters, roach books and T-shirts can be bought at most shops.

9. Most Coffee Shops provide a range of tea's, coffee's, soft/fruit drinks and candy snacks. Some provide hot toastie's.

10. If spoken to in Dutch simply reply 'English', smile politely, and begin the conversation again.

11. As of April 1st 2007 Coffee Shops no longer serve alcohol at all. However, some have a 'next door' seperate room/shop where you can buy a drink.

12. Taking photos in the Red Light District can get you hurt. Do not take photos in the Red Light District.

13. The hustlers and dealers on the street of the Red Light District work together and are in constant contact with each other.

14. If aproached never respond, and never stop walking. If you stop you could quickly find yourself surrounded. If persistantly harrassed by one of these folks go into the nerest shop or bar and make whoever is working aware of the situation. You are no longer alone feeling in trouble. Stay long enough to have a drink and relax again before leaving. You are not the only mark on the street, and the guy will have either moved on, been moved on by police, or found somone else to bother.

15. Pissing against the wall in Amsterdam can get you a fast visit to the police station. (Not recomended while tripping.). They will not search you so long as you are able to pay the fine, show them ID (passport) and remain polite. You will not be handcuffed unless you yourself make it obligatory.

16. Public pissing points can be found along the canals. There are several around the Centrum Red Light Area and can be identified by the stink and long line of blokes dancing next to them.

17. Negotiation with a Window Princess usually begin at €50.00 for 20 minutes. Treat the lady with respect and politeness, she is somebodys mother, sister, daughter, lover. The nicer you are to her the nicer she'll be to you.

18. Watch out for the Blue Lights in the Red Light Area. Anything marked with a blue light means gay or transexual services.

19. On the way into Amsterdam Central Station from the Airport you should buy yourself a Tram Strip Card with your train ticket into Amsterdam. The Strip card can be used on any tram in town. You get 7 and a half rides on the Strip. Once you take a tram ride you can return free if you do it within an hour.
